Community Engagement Manager

Closing date: 09/02/2025
  • £32,000 per annum
  • 28 hours per week (over 4 days)

We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager for our highly respected programme connecting people with the Horniman’s collections, displays and gardens, designing inclusive opportunities where enjoyment, inspiration, respect and understanding can flourish.

You’ll have a strong commitment to equitable access to cultural opportunities, with a proven a track record of delivering innovative museum, arts or heritage programmes, created by, for and with community partners.

If you are a passionate advocate for inclusive practice, with experience of co-production with diverse audiences in a museum, arts or heritage setting, and of leading and developing a team, then we want to hear from you.

Facilities Manager

Closing date: 02/02/2025
  • £41,500 per annum
  • Full time/35 hour week, Monday to Friday.
  • Plus 1 weekend day per month, taken as TOIL.

We are looking for a Facilities Manager who will ensure that the Horniman estate is maintained to an exceptionally high standard for both visitors and workforce.

You’ll have professional and practical experience in the field of buildings, and infrastructure management for a heritage / visitor attraction or other public building, ideally with a relevant professional qualification in estates management, construction, surveying or health and safety.

Climate Resilience Officer

Closing date: 30/01/2025
  • £36,000 per annum
  • 35 hour week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a Climate Resilience Officer who will take the lead role in delivering on the Horniman’s Climate and Ecology Manifesto.

You’ll have professional experience of sustainability issues with a knowledge of current legislation, best practice relating to environmental management of public places, and providing professional advice to staff.

The Horniman has a huge variety of activities on offer, and subsequently, our staff are very diverse in their skills and expertise.

You could be working directly with our visitors, curating, documenting or maintaining our collections, publicising what we do, fundraising or working in Finance, Facilities, IT or Human Resources.

Our staff meets for regular coffee mornings to hear updates from the Senior Management Team, and share news from across the organisation.
