About this event

Come and sing songs from jazz to gospel, from old crooners to contemporary pop, from cultures across the world. We welcome everyone – all you need are vocal cords!

Raise the Roof is the Horniman Museum’s Choir-in-Residence. We sing a diverse and dynamic repertoire of beautiful vocal music, including songs that accompany the changing exhibitions in the Museum, from rivers to Romania,  peacetime to plant life and textiles to taxidermy…!

We have been running for 15 years. Our current MD is nationally renowned Natural Voice Practitioner Kirsty Martin: kirstymartin.co.uk.

Watch a video of the Raise the Roof choir performing at the Horniman's 2014 Christmas Fair.
