Horniman Plant Fair

Listen to talks, buy specialist plants, get advice, and take part in tours at the Plant Fair, in partnership with Plant Fairs Roadshow.

Update – Saturday

Due to the high winds, the Gardens and Bandstand area has been closed. The Plant Fair talks and food traders have moved into the Conservatory. If you could not attend the Plant Fair stalls due to the high winds, please get in touch for a refund by Friday 19 July.

Taking place across our beautiful Gardens, you can buy plants from small and independent nurseries run by specialist growers who are passionate about the plants they produce.

The Nurseries provide a spectrum of plants including cottage-garden favourites, shade-loving plants, alpines, trees and shrubs, succulents and many more.

Speak directly to knowledgeable growers and get advice from experts about what you are growing… or would like to!

Tours

Horniman Gardens Tour | 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm

The garden tours are going to be led by members of our fantastic volunteer team who help us maintain and develop the garden each week. The tours will provide an overview of recent projects that we have been working on, all with a focus on sustainable garden management and developing the gardens in line with our climate and ecology manifesto.

Alongside this we will be running tours of the Gardens from the Horniman Gardens team.

Bandstand floral display

Provided by Yolly

Based just down the road from the Horniman, Yolly‘s is an independent, sustainably minded flower and plant shop. We strive to find and work with the best local growers and suppliers, charities. Cornish suppliers, flower farms in Hampshire and Lincolnshire, and growers further afield in Europe. At the heart of everything we do, is sustainability.

Utilising our floral waste, either by pressing our floral waste into pressed flower cards, drying and preserving flowers, which are then re-used and made into dried bouquets. Yolly will also be selling fresh cut flowers and dried bunches at the fair.
