Come and celebrate the wonderful richness of our local community by joining in with free activities, performances and workshops run by local newly arrived people.
There will be crafting, art, music, dancing and much more. Come and join us across the Gardens for activities for all ages to enjoy. Everybody is welcome.
Here are some of the things you can get involved with on the day:
- Join in arts and crafts workshops led by IRMO making macrame keychains, recycled paper, jewellery, and a lot more!
- Learn to dance with Refugee Women
- Experience dance performances by Miski Ayllu and the Honduran Folkloric Pride Group
- Listen to DJ performances
- See art produced by local residents
- Learn circus skills with young people from Da’aro Youth Project and South London Refugee Association
- Make kites with Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers
- Be part of Refugees at Home’s group art project
