Crossing Borders
Join us for a free celebration featuring a vibrant programme of activities, workshops and performances led by refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
With something for all ages, from family-friendly activities to sessions for adults, the day offers plenty of opportunities to learn, create and connect.
Take part in timed workshops throughout the day, including the traditional Afghan art of kite-making, lively Honduran folk dance sessions, and drama workshops for children and young people aged 8 to 16, designed and facilitated by young leaders.
Enjoy inspiring live performances, including traditional Ukrainian music played on the bandura, and Honduran folk dance performances and a colourful costume parade.
You can also join a live recording of ‘Ready To Be Cancelled’, a podcast where three hosts come together for honest, unfiltered conversations about life, culture, relationships, current events, and everything in between.
Come along to celebrate the rich cultures, talents and stories that make our communities stronger, and enjoy a day of creativity, connection and shared experiences.
Partners
Drama workshops and the podcast will be delivered by artists from Pan Intercultural Arts – a London charity which works across ethnic, cultural and faith boundaries to encourage understanding, integration and empowerment throughout our diverse society, driven by a desire to improve the lives of young people within our communities and to bring the healing power of the arts to those who have suffered trauma or social injustice.
