Bass trombone in B flat. Lacquered brass. Yamaha model number: YBL613. Serial number 201178. Two rotary valves, in independent configuration, allowing either to be activated seperately. Stamp on side of mouthpiece receiver reads: YAMAHA/JAPAN. Instrument as new, with all original accessories: hard case, cleaning rod, polishing cloth, polishing gauze, slide cream and owner's manual.

Valves were added to the trombone to replace the slide so that the instrument could be operated in situations where moving the slide would have been difficult, such as in small orchestra pits or when on the march.
