About this event

Experience an audio-visual extravaganza by PunjabTronix, where cutting edge live electronica combines with traditional Punjabi sounds and live-mixed video projections.

PunjabTronix is an exciting new collaboration between award-winning electronic music producer DJ Swami and renowned Punjabi folk musicians.

DJ Swami will mix electronic dance music live with Punjabi dohl drums, vocals, stringed instruments and the algoza (double flute) performed by Punjabi musicians Naresh Kuki (dhol), Dheera Singh (sarangi) and Vijay Yamla (multi-instrumentalist). Filmmaker John Minton, famous for his work with Noel Gallagher and Portishead, will produce live visual projections to complete a unique performance.

The Late includes an exclusive chance to discover the creative process behind the collaboration in Q&A sessions with DJ Swami, the musicians, Tejwant Kittu, a Music Producer from Punjab, and Jaswinder Singh, Director of the Asian Arts Agency, before the special live preview of PunjabTronix (30-45 minute set).
