banner (ceremonial artefacts & rank insignia)

Textile banner. Rectangular banner in strong natural cream-coloured fabric with black motifs. In the middle of one narrow end, a small piece of the same fabric has been folded and stitched to the banner, and through it a short length of cord has been inserted, forming a loop for suspension. There is a wide black painted band across the top, with a narrower band below it. Further down but still in the top half of the banner is a black trefoil crest (mon) in a circle, probably stencilled on. The same black patterning is on the reverse. The lower half of the banner is plain cream. It is heavily soiled.
