fish trap (trap (hunting, fishing & trapping))

Fish trap made of reed and bamboo, cylindrical with a hexagonal weave. It has a depression in the base, containing a hole with a piece of netting over it, suspended from the sides of the cylinder; there is a slit at the end of this netting which in the rest position is closed. There is an opening at the top of the cylinder, with a reed lip, and a lump of straw near the top. The trap has a lid attached. Label: One printed red exhibition label.
