The Museum will close 5-5.30pm on Thursday 6 March to prepare for the Late. The Gardens will close at 5.30pm.
[One of pair of wooden sandals (geta), Nikkou shape. Cut from solid piece of wood, with two supports and a flat sole. Upper sole covered with woven sheaths of bamboo (Phyllostachys bambusoides S. & Z.) Thongs (hanao) of hemp string covered with green leather. Beneath the toe area where the string comes through a metal cover attached with four nails. 233 long x 92 w x 54 h.
