betel set container; basket (containers)

Rectangular basket for betel chew ingredients made from woven coconut palm leaf in checkerwork and twill in natural, black and red cane. One large 'drawer' slides out from the outer sleeve. This drawer is sectioned off inside, creating different levels. One inner tray, divided into sections, sits inside. Four smaller drawers fit in the level below this. Each of these has a twine handle in order to make it easier to remove. One of the smallest drawers has the handle on the end, which suggests it fits into a small passage within the large drawer, creating an almost hidden compartment.
