Mahurī (mahuri) or śahnāī (sahnai) oboe with conical bore. The diameter of the bore at the proximal end of the instrument is 13mm. The dark brown wooden body with proximal brass ferrule and seven fingerholes. Five cobras encircle the proximal end of the heavy brass bell mount. Metal staple encased in cloth and thread binding with two quadruple reeds suspended from twisted string (MT437-1998). Probably made in Odisha.
