Water vessel, hydria or kalpis, black-ware, Athenian. A small one piece vessel. Black shiny paint covers the vessel’s interior and exterior. Angularity at the shoulder. One vertical and two horizontal cylindrical handles with accentuated curves. Stepped lip both interior and exterior and convex mouth. Low spreading disc foot with slight hollow. Graceful proportions and finely potted. Pinkish-grey clay. Height 150 mm, width 106 mm (shoulder). Sketch of the pot on the review card.
