headrest; snuff containers

Double headrest with chain links and snuff containers carved out of a single piece of wood with bulbous, pendant snuff container at either end, this double headrest linked by a carved chain appears to be in pristine, unused condition. The carved chain, indicative of virtuosity in carving, features in other Tsonga material culture, including snuff containers, vessels and spoons.
