printing block

Wooden skin printing block for tattoos, with a carved design of possibly some writing, framed in a rectangle, which is itself surrounded by an ornate border of triangular and curved designs. Small areas of wood have been chipped away in two parts on the design. The other side of the block has no design.

On the plain side of the block are two labels. One is circular with 'Tt. / 58' on it, and the other is rectangular, reading, 'H. LING ROTH'.
