Clarinet in B flat, boxwood, ivory mounts. Five brass keys, flat, square, mounted in turned blocks and ring. Sounding length (length without mouthpiece) is 60.1 cm. Mouthpiece possibly contemporary, tenon damaged. Pad missing from C sharp key. Bell and mount cracked at socket. Bell rim chipped. Stamped: G. Astor & Co. 79 Cornhill London (Unicorn mark).
