Scale consists of an ivory scale beam marked in black dots and attached with two red tassels, a brass pan hung down at one end of the beam with four green threads, and a detached brass weight of rectangular form. Stored in a fiddle-shaped wooden case hollowed out on the inside. The case is in two halves and slides horizontally, riveted at one end.
