Sword, probably from Lahore. The form suggests an eighteenth century date or earlier. However the decorative details which suggest manufacture in Lahore are generally found on objects of a later date. The decoration on the pommel is indicative of the Punjab. The gold overlay on the sword’s forte also suggests manufacture in the region of Lahore. The blade is of watered steel.
