leggings (clothing: outerwear)

Pair of basketry leggings made of fine twill strips of cane. They are both undyed on the lower half, with the top half dyed red and with a yellow orchid stem pattern interwoven. The patterns are slightly different in 16.23i and 16.23ii. Both have a slit up the side, and tied to the edges of the slits are three pairs of black cotton bobbles or pompoms with strings.

The letter 'C.' is written in fading white paint on both of the leggings.
