Teapot of export famille rose Chinese ware in cylindrical form with a curved spout and two overhead cord-bound iron arched handles, hooked through holes in lugs on shoulder. The lid with sunken centre rests on a circular hole in the top. The exterior is decorated in great detail with painted scenes depicting birds on leaves, and human groups, surrounded by borders of butterflies and flowers. Porcelain painted with multicoloured overglaze enamel and gilding.
