Birch bark canoe with a wooden frame. The sections of bark are attached to the frame with strips of root fibre which pass through holes pierced in the bark. These form repeat triangular designs around the prow and bow, which are both curved. There are wooden sections inside by the prow and bow which are painted red up to the half way point and have a shape cut out of them which looks like the capital lettter 'I' .
