loom; samples (textiles)

A vertical loom with a partially woven cotton cloth attached. A singles handspun cotton warp is secured in place with mud (?) between breast and warp beam. There is one heddle with cotton leashes and a sword for beating. The weft faced tabby woven warp has plain cream bands alternating with bands with two tones of brown. There are four shuttles filled with barely twisted yarn: two shades of brown, yellow and cream. [Textile]
