Wool back apron. Made from homespun woollen thread, hand woven in 4 thread pattern. Hand-picked in the loom and the4 cross-beam; tassels at the bottom and scalloped edges. Oblong shape. Along the top the orange-red colour of the background (typical of this district) gives way to a darker tint, this portion being called 'briu' (braid). The decorative pattern of geometrical designs is arranged in horizontal strips, hand picked in multicoloured wool. The bottom is edged with tassels in alternating colours. Length: 118 cm; Width: 52 cm. (Homespun wool, purchased fine coloured cotton and woollen thread).
