water pipe

A water pipe consisting of three parts: the pipe, the water vessel and the mouthpiece. The pipe is made of wood and has a slightly curved stem and a fluted pipe bowl. The bowl is lined with an iron alloy. Around the stem and part of the pipe bowl is some red and yellow cane woven into a chevron design. At the tip of the stem is a band of copper alloy. The mouthpiece is made from a short cylinder of bamboo with a shaped end that fits into the pipe. The water vessel is a short cylinder with a flat base, carved from a single piece of dark wood. Below the rim are several loops of red cane.
