Rectangular headcloth decorated with multicoloured silk embroidery. The diaphanous, cream-coloured, tabby-woven cotton (?) has been sewn together from 2 pieces of unequal width, and hemmed on all sides. The whole textile is bordered by a short fringe consisting of knotted silk. Black cross-stitch bands and stripes divided the cloth into 117 rectangles. Each contains a black cross-stitched star-shaped motif with yellow and pink satin stitch detailing. In each corner and halfway along each side are diamond-shaped satin-stitched motifs in pink, yellow, orange, purple and green. Along the edges is a line of 3 of these motifs.
