Crescent-shaped pendant, backed with woven gold thread and studded with turquoises round the rim; ornamental raised decoration consists of grotesque head (perhaps representation of a khyung or mythical bird?) flanked on either side by a coiling dragon. Below head is pointed ovoid made up of semi-precious stones set in gold; pointed ovoid shape is repeated in small pendant hung from centre of outside rim of crescent - also set with paste and semi-precious stones. On each of crescent horns is ring for suspension round wearer's neck. From image. w. 7.8" (198)
