Red, almost square, tabby-woven, fulled, woollen textile decorated with chainstitch embroidery. The cream-coloured, green, pale blue, and brown embroidery consists of a tughra, the emblematic signature of the Ottoman sultan, set within a floral-patterned roundel surrounded by a square frame. In the 4 corners between the roundel and the square frame are smaller tughra. The square frame contains undulating floral bands. The textile has been sewn together from 2 pieces of cloth. 3 sides appear to have been cut. Along the fourth side is a black and red woven strip.
