Large beer gourd 'ikitumbe'. Made from a single gourd, and dark brown in colour.

Gourd grown and cut by married women. Beer made only by elders - made of sugar (or honey if available), water and kigelia fruit (see 1972.136) and various other ingredients, maize or millet. Drunk by elders in their huts from beer horns (1972.103). vernacular name: LKITUMBE
