One of a pair of rectangular, beaded anklets from Transkei, South Africa. White and blue beads tightly threaded onto plant fibre material to create an opaque face with a large rectangular blocked pattern and four triangles made of blue beads. Leather straps are attached to each end, with metal hooks and loops to fasten the item.
