Large cotton cloak from Transkei, South Africa. The fabricdyed with ochre and has black cotton line banding in the bottom third of the garment. The lines connect in different ways to make triangle and diamond shaped decorative patterns. Pearl buttons are sewn in to the face of the fabric at various points.
