Earrings of coiled brass, tied together with a strip of leather. Both coils are attached to a metal chain.
Brass earrings on chain. brass wire from marsabit (1890's). Chain from Maralal (1950's, 60's). Goat skin. Worn by married women all the time. It must be worn for identify if you are a woman or a girl, married or unmarried. You can leave them off if you are wearing leather earrings (Cr. 5, Cr.10, cr.43). These ones were manufactured in Naibor - Keju. Made by Samburu women.
