321.322-6 Necked box lutes or necked guitars

Yueqin or "moon guitar", a four stringed, short-necked box lute. The body is a circular shell varnished a golden colour.The table is flat and of light brown wood. The back is also flat. The bridge is half moon shaped, of dark brown wood (this has been reglued in the wrong place). There are four side entrant pegs, two from each side. The pegs are long and tapered; the ends are corrugated in six ridges. A single row of 6 raised frets is on the soundtable; three raised frets (for all four strings) are on the fingerboard. The peg-box terminates in a forward facing, flat, lozenge shaped finial.
