mask (dance & live theatre)

Ovate wooden mask depicting a human face. The face is covered with black pigment, and the eyeholes, nostrils, and mouth are cut out. The nose is squared, and continues upwards into a crescent shape or 'antlers' above the forehead. The face is decorated with five circular yellow and red motifs, with red, yellow, and white spots on the remainder of the face. The nose/antler section is decorated with yellow branched lines. The eyes and mouth are highlighted with white pigment.
