Wooden sheath for a knife, carved with geometric diamond, line and cross designs. When in the sheath, the tip of the knife blade sticks out very slightly. The sheath is made in two halves, bound together by plaited metal wire at the top and bottom. At the top of the sheath, just below the wire binding, is a raised bridge of wood with a hole through it.
The object has two rectangular labels attached to it with pale green thread, from Bognor Museum.
