Composite trolling fish hook of with shank of white pearl shell of slender fish like form pierced a tone end to create the appearance of a eye. To this is tightly bpnbd a hook of turtle shell pierced in three places. Through these holes shank and barb are joined and a line of western cordage runs along the length of the shank to the eyehole and beyond in the standard Polynesian manner. The hook bears traced of white paint throughout and has a small pair of calico tab trailing from behind the end of the hook.
