mask (dance & live theatre)

Mask of Chujo. The furrows in the middle of his pale forehead reflect his grief, while the high painted eyebrows and blackened teeth, which are peculiar to aristocrats and often seen in female masks, suggest that he is a high-ranking aristocrat. The mask can be worn for the role of a handsome young nobleman as well as for an aristocratic warrior of the Taira clan, who dies on the battlefield.
