Rug of multicoloured wool, decorated in strong colours and striking design of rows of medallions in blue, yellow, red and green, each divided from the next by a pattern in white. Border of rows of squares with lozenges flanked by stripes of latticework and plain pattern. Made of two woven pieces sewn together along the middle of the rug. Collector's label reads: '154 19th C Shah-Savan brocade 5' x 5'.
