On Saturday 5 July the Gardens will be accessible to Big Fish Little Fish ticket holders only. The Museum will be open as usual and entrance will be via London Road only.
Lantern slide depicting the front of the Yomeimon Gate, Toshogu Shrine, Nikko. In the centre is a panel with calligraphy by Emperor Omizuo. The upper tier is covered with carved dragons, and the lower tier is covered with sculptures of Chinese lions. The Zuishin statues are placed in the walls to the right and left. The corridors are divided by red-painted pillars, and flowers and birds are carved in the upper panel and waterfowl in the lower panel.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
