Woman's formal domestic surcoat made of black satin embroidered with silk floral decoration. Six large roundels of flowers in a vase design, three on front, three on back. Also embroidered are melons, Buddha's hand fruits and floral sprays. Bordered at cloud collar, side opening, lower hem and sleeves with white bands embroidered with scenes of ladies in garden. Wide straight sleeves with turned back cuffs in lighter blue satin. Lined in pale blue satin and secured with three knot buttons in black satin down the front.
