A lime box consisting of a shallow, flat, circular brass container with a corresponding lid; the latter with a decoration consisting of concentric grooves on the outer face. Both parts have a semi-circular loop at the edge, through which two lengths of wire have been passed, joining the two parts together. This wire hoop has also been passed through the loops of 3 brass pellet bells. There are the remains of white, lime powder inside. There is a label affixed to the reverse of container, which reads 'LIME BOX BALI 1936 O.W.SAMSON'
