Khandoba seated on a horse

Polychrome painting on textile depicting Khandoba, a manifestation of Shiva, seated on his vehicle, or vahana, a white horse, which has elaborate trappings. His skin is painted blue, and he wears a crown, a yellow skirt cloth, anklets, bracelets and neck ornaments. In his upper right hand he carries a trident, while in his lower right hand he carries a raised sword. His lower left arm holds the reins and in his upper right he carries a drum. Set against a red background under a lotus arch, with a pillar and curtain to each side.
