Rectangular, warp-dominant, tabby-woven, multicoloured, woollen rug. The striped textile has been sewn together along the selvedges of 6 strips. Each contains a narrower solid-coloured red, and a green stripe, as well as 2 sets of stripes. The red and black stripes are patterned with orange and/or cream geometric patterns. Each of the sets has a wider central stripe which contains short sets of linked geometric patterns including diamonds, rectangles, squares and diamonds. This stripe is framed by contrasting coloured, narrow strips. The same applies to the 2 narrower stripes either side. These are decorated with repeat S-shape motifs, repeat pairs of inverse z-shapes, or repeat ovoid motifs. The patterns are worked in complementary warp. The shorter sides are hemmed.
