Carved and painted wooden axle with metal fittings, from a cart. The axle has one long main beam, with two recesses cut out of the top surface, between which is a carved figure of St George slaying the dragon. Each recess is surmounted by a decorated metal bar, attached with metal screws. Across the main beam are two cross-pieces, each depicting a human face.
