Man’s hat made of black felt with a round base and crown. It has a sloping brim trimmed at the edge with cream ribbon. There is a strip of synthetic tape stitched on both the inside and the outside of the hat. On the surface of the reddish-brown varnished hat band are sewn small white elements made of plastic imitation shells. A traditional Highlander’s hat usually has a band with shells attached. This hat is part of the traditional folk costume worn in Podhale region.
