A jewel basket or ring container with a key. The container is oval shaped, with a bulbous body. The basket is made from woven plant fibre which is in two shades. The plant fibre is woven in such a way as to create a diamond pattern. The basket has two decorative brackets, one of which is a lock which is hidden by a cover. At either end of the container are two hook-type locks, however, these do not open by swinging them out of the loops, but instead require that the clasps at the top are rotated to release the hooks. The base is made from a piece of wood and the lid is hinged and has a mounted metal handle. There is also a small iron key with the basket.
