Rectangular felt rug with a cream coloured central panel surrounded by a natural dark brown border. The panel is decorated with inlaid, multicoloured patterns, creating a centre surrounded by a border of reciprocal convolutes in red and black with some purple detailing. The convolutes are separated by a yellow line, and framed by 'guard' stripes. These are dotted in yellow and cream on a black ground on the inside. On the outside thre are dotted in yellow, white and purple. The panel is decorated with 3 cruciform motifs with convolute edging. They contain repeats of the guard stripes at the centres, and are outlined in red. The outer motifs are purple, the centre one is black. Along the inside of the border, between the arms of the cruciform motifs are inward-facing, red convolute segments, outlined in black or purple.
