311.121.222 Mono-heterochord musical bows with resonator attached, with tuning noose

Stick zither. Wooden stick, bent into a bow shape. Wire string is tied at bottom to a section of the stick 24 mm long, that has been carved to narrower diameter and is undecorated. At the top, the wire passes over the end of the stick and is then wound down the top section and is then secured with string wrapped round the stick. A resonator made from a large seed pod is secured to the outer side of the bow (but slightly offset from the plane of the string) towards the bottom. It is attached with copper wire that extends into a v-shape on the opposite side around the long wire. Bow and resonator decorated with black colouration in which circular patches have been left to show the colour of the wood. There are also painted decorations of stripes and triangular patterns in green, yellow, black and red. Five coloured ribbons (red, blue, green, white and purple) are tied round the stick towards the top, on which are printed: LEMBRANÇA DO ?SENHOR DA BAHIA
