carving

Carved and painted wooden boss, the back is flat and undecorated. On the front is a horned demon's white face with hair, beard and facial highlights detailed in black. The mouth has a red tongue and lips, with silver teeth and fangs. The eyes are bulbous and detailed in blue and black. Two large green swirls, which could be ears, are to either side. There are yin and yang symbols on the forehead, indicating it is a Daoist item. A fixing is formed on the back with two nails and a piece of orange string.
