One of a pair of Japanese cloisonne jars. The base is rounded and sits on three short metal legs. The base is dark brown and decorated with yellow flecks and pink, red and white flowers. There is a blue green and yellow border around the bottom of the jar as well as pink and white flowers. Above this are different coloured oblong panels decorated with white yellow pink, and red flowers and green leaves. Running around the centre is a turquoise band decorated with flowers. The top of the jar is dark blue and has a pattern running around the rim (turquoise, red, white and pink.) The top of the jar is metal. The lid is small and round and has a metal base. It is brown coloured with gold flecks and three flowers. In the centre is a gold metal handle carved to produce a leaf or petal effect. The handle is secured to the lid as a screw through the lid, with a square metal bolt. The inside of the jar is dark turquoise in colour.
