A Japanese scabbard for a short sword. The scabbard is lined with blue velvet. It is carved bone decorated with engravings of people. On the scabbard, three metal rings separate three designs. The first two metal rings have hooks onto which a chain can be attached. There is a metal casing at the very end of the scabbard.
