Kliakotka (Belarusian), korobechka (Russian), slit drum, wood block. Similar to the western orchestral woodblock. A block of light coloured wood, cuboid in shape apart from a slightly barrelled upper face and a shallow chamfer on all edges. A resonating chamber (depth: 51 mm, width: 161 mm, height: 11 mm) is cut into one of the longer sides with parallel upper and lower edges and curved ends. The entire surface is varnished apart from the interior of the chamber. Played with stick 2003.309.1. Made at the PRP "Muzrem" factory in Minsk.
